CASA CARBONE IN LAVAGNA OF GENOA
The House Museum, Casa Carbone is located in Lavagna, in the province of Genoa.
It
was donated to the Italian Environment Fund by the Carbone family's
owners in 1987 and was converted into a museum in 2004 thanks to the
FAI's recovery and restoration work, which has faithfully reconstructed
and adapted the home environment of the Carbone family , bourgeois family of the twentieth century.
The
architectural structure reflects the typical 19th-century regional
construction, while the interiors follow a fin-de-siècle style of the
noble residences of the area.
In the house
there is a precious collection of Wedgwood ceramics, but also objects of
everyday life such as lingerie, tableware, porcelain dolls and, in the
studio of Emanuele Carbone, there are scientific and astronomical
instruments and books and magazines collected from ' eclectic owner.
