The island of Capri is located in the Gulf of Naples, in front of the Sorrento Peninsula.
Of limestone origin, its lower section is in the center, its sides are high and surrounded mostly by scary precipices, where there are numerous caves and cliffs that alternate with steep cliffs.
The Blue Grotto has been described by many writers and poets for its magical light effects.
Its orography is composed, to the west by the slopes of Mount Solaro 589 m, to the east from Tiberius 334 m
There are also large inner highlands, the main one being Anacapri.
The Faraglioni are famous, three small rocky islands, not far from the shore, creating a scenic and landscaping effect.
The island is divided into two Capri and Anacapri municipalities.
