THE POTATO SILA
On the plateau of the Sila, mainly in the province of Cosenza, they are grown to more than a thousand meters high different potato varieties recognized as a quality product IGP.
The organoleptic characteristic of the main "Potato Sila" is to have a percentage of starch than the average. This makes the tuber Calabrian more nutritious and tastier especially other potatoes Italian.
Municipalities where it is grown potato Sila are: Acre, Aprigliano, Bocchigliero, Celico, Colosimi, Longobucco, Parenti, Pedace, Rogliano, San Giovanni in Fiore, Serra Pedace, Spezzano Sila Spezzano Piccolo in the Province of Cosenza; and Taverna in Province of Catanzaro.
